Evaluation Detail View

Once an evaluation has been generated, the detail view is where you read it, refine it, and act on it. This page covers the detail view itself — its layout, tabs, and the actions available from it. Layout

When you open a completed evaluation, you land on a single page organized around three tabs:

Evidence — what was captured during the observation.
Evaluation — the scored rubric, organized by domain and component.
Coaching — AI-generated coaching content tied to the evaluation.

The teacher's name and key context (cycle, evaluator, observation date) sit at the top of the page regardless of which tab you're on, so you always know whose evaluation you're looking at.

Evidence tab

The Evidence tab shows everything that was captured during the observation:

A written summary of the observation.
The transcript, broken into cited moments you can scan through (each one shows a timestamp).
Any files that were uploaded as part of the evaluation — documents, images, or audio.

If the transcript was produced from a live recording, speakers in the transcript are labeled, and you can rename a speaker label if it wasn't identified correctly — your relabeling is remembered for that evaluation.

Evaluation tab

The Evaluation tab is where the actual rubric lives. Domains are listed as an accordion — click a domain to expand it and see its components, each with its own rating and narrative.

Click into any component to open a detail view with three parts:

Report — the full rating and narrative for that component, with the supporting evidence cited inline. Clicking a citation jumps you to and highlights the relevant moment in the transcript.
Conversation Starter — an AI-generated coaching prompt scoped specifically to that component, useful as a jumping-off point for a debrief conversation.
Evidence — the evidence filtered down to just what's relevant to that component.

From inside this detail view you can move between sibling components in the same domain without closing it, and you can edit the score directly if you disagree with the AI's rating.

If an evaluation is configured as scoreless (an informal observation), components show full written feedback without a numeric rating — the same detail view applies, just without the score.

Coaching tab

The Coaching tab surfaces the forward-looking, growth-oriented content tied to the evaluation:

Suggested next steps based on what was observed.
The teacher's active growth goal and its progress, if one is in place.
A link to a related debrief conversation, if one exists for this evaluation.

If the teacher has an active improvement plan, the Coaching tab shows that plan's progress in place of the regular goal-tracking widget — improvement plans take priority over standard goal tracking while they're active.

Editing and regenerating

You're not locked into the AI's first pass. From the Evaluation tab you can edit a domain summary or a component's score directly, and edits are saved automatically as you make them — watch for the save indicator next to what you're editing.

If you'd rather have the AI take another pass, you can regenerate a single component, a full domain, or just a comment, without regenerating the entire evaluation. Regeneration uses the same evidence and calibration settings as the original generation, so the tone stays consistent with the rest of the evaluation.

From the evaluation detail page you can:

Export to PDF — generate a PDF copy of the evaluation.
Export to CSV — export the evaluation data as a CSV.
Share a link — generate a shareable link to the evaluation.
Send to the teacher — send the completed evaluation to the teacher, by email and through their portal view. The first time you send it, this also makes the evaluation visible on the teacher's side; sending again after edits updates what they see.

Conversation detail view

Debrief conversations have their own detail view, in the same style as the evaluation detail view. Open a conversation from your conversation history to see a summary of what was discussed, along with the transcript if the conversation was recorded. If a conversation is linked to an evaluation, you can navigate between the two from either page.

Tips

Edits on the Evaluation tab save automatically — you don't need to click anything to keep your changes, but it's worth waiting for the save indicator before navigating away.
Regenerating a component or domain only affects that slice of the evaluation — the rest of your edits are preserved.
Use the conversation starter on a component when you want a quick way to bring that specific point into a debrief conversation with the teacher.
